Owing to excellent optical, mechanical and barrier properties, polypropylene films have become one of the most desired types of packaging films for food-items. This applies especially for biaxial-oriented polypropylene film (BOPP). To match the excellent appeal of goods packed in polypropylene film, Palsgaard has developed antifogging agents that match the demands of high clarity packaging and food contact approval.

Einar® 601 and Einar® 611 are antifogging additives based on a polyglycerol ester which combine high antifogging performance and excellent optical appearance.
At dosage concentrations of 1.0-2.0 wt%, they efficiently reduce the contact angle of water on polypropylene films to condense water vapor as an invisible, transparent microfilm without leaching, wash off or blooming.
Einar® 601 and Einar® 611 enable polymer film producers and brand owners to fully utilize the benefits of polypropylene packaging without compromising on excellent antifogging performance, mechanical or optical properties. This applies especially for sensitive applications, like food packaging under cold fog conditions.
Einar® 601 and Einar® 611 are used worldwide, as they are globally approved for food-contact applications.
