On 1 April 2016 Palsgaard celebrated that our Danish plant became CO2-neutral in 2015. It's the first step on the way to achieving our ultimate target of becoming CO2-neutral worldwide in 2020.
Palsgaard's production is a highly energy-intensive operation. Despite this, in 2015, our Danish plant became CO2-neutral*. It’s a vital milestone on our road to attaining a zero carbon footprint encompassing all facilities worldwide by 2020.
To do it, we examined every aspect of our operations, fine-tuning wherever possible to minimise energy consumption. In fact, we’ve achieved CO2 emission reductions since 2006, amounting to 16,088 tonnes in 2015 alone. And we have applied ourselves to other sustainability initiatives such as sustainable palm oil supply with equal passion and commitment.
For Palsgaard, sustainability is not a choice. It is a founding principle and a business advantage.
We will continue striving to set the standard in our industry.
